Jim grew up in Hunterdon County where he developed a love of the outdoors, camping, canoeing and swimming. He started college as a physics major but ended with a BS degree in Biology in 1973. Having worked in the plumbing business to help with college payments and really wanting to work with his brother, he entered the trades. He restarted a family plumbing and heating business in 1978 which he still runs today. Jim holds a master plumbing license with the State of NJ Department of Consumer Affairs, a NJ pump installer’s license with the DEP, and he has been a member of the RPA (now the Radiant Professionals Alliance) since 1996. He is certified in both the design and installation of radiant and snow melt systems, ensuring every system he designs is efficient and reliable. His personal interests include hiking, birding, kayaking, listening to classical music and opera, motorcycling, woodworking, trapshooting and sporting clays.
