The MWA Commemorative Ornament, introduced in 2000, is a custom-made, white porcelain disc with original artwork on one side of it highlighting a scenic or historic site of Musconetcong River, as interpreted by an artist living on or near the river. The featured artist's signature and the title of the image appear on the reverse. Both to keep and to give, these high-quality ornaments have become instant collectibles.

Third in a series, this year's commemorative ornament features the artwork of H. Donald Ross, a self-taught New Jersey artist who for over 50 years drew and painted a variety of landscapes, portraits and historic places in Hunterdon County. Taken from an original pen and ink drawing titled "Changewater Railroad Bridge," this black and white image of the 1880 steel trestle bridge which crossed the Musconetcong River between Hunterdon and Warren counties, is mounted on a custom-made, white porcelain disc and has the artist's signature on the reverse.
