L ooking upstream at the dilapidated upper Waterloo Dam. This is a scenic area of the river with many preserved historic features associated with the Morris Canal. However, three dams in the stretch of the river have destroyed the river's natural flow and contribute to water quality degradation further downstream.

Canoeing up beautiful Lubbers Run, just above its confluence with the Musconetcong River. Lubbers Run is the largest tributary to the river.
