Board of Directors
John is excited to join the MWA Board. He comes to us with a Bachelor of Science in agronomy from Missouri State University and a Master of Science from the University of Missouri. He has worked in federal conservation program delivery and is now offering conservation assistance by private practice, Kluthe Environmental Solutions: to Agricultural and Natural Resource Problems. He brings to the MWA his technical know-how in conservation planning and implementation and administrative experience in area-wide conservation planning and watershed management.
It was John's dad who instilled in him a love for the river. As a youth, John remembers his dad cutting away entangled fishing line from around the neck and legs of a great blue heron during one of their many fishing trips. Now, John helps farmers and land/livestock owners keep soil and nutrients in place so that they can use land without causing damage to the effected resources.
He and his wife, Brandy, have twin boys and a daughter who are all advancing in their scout troops; Troop 191 and Troop 80579, respectively. They live in Bethlehem Township and, as often as possible, enjoy all of the canoeing, fishing and swimming the Musky and other rivers have to offer.
