Laura Gould
Watershed Resilience Planner
Laura is a Newark native who developed a love of the environment through time spent hiking with friends at South Mountain Reservation in New Jersey, and hiking and swimming with family in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
As the Watershed Resilience Planner at the Musconetcong Watershed Association, Laura hopes to protect and enhance the resilience of not just the Musconetcong River itself, but the many vibrant communities in its watershed. When she’s not at work, Laura spends time crocheting, cooking, and reading. You can often find her reading at a coffee shop or throwing out an oddball answer at her local pub quiz.
Laura holds two master's degrees from Rutgers University: a Master of City and Regional Planning, and a Master of Public Informatics degree. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. These degrees give her skills in comprehensive planning, community engagement, data analysis, and visual communication, which she’s excited to use at MWA!
