About the event
Please join the MWA and the Hackettstown Historical Society at 7 pm, on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd, 2023, upstairs at the American Legion Hall, 494 Willow Grove St. in Hackettstown. Our presentation will be about our local (and National) treasure, the Musconetcong Watershed.
Tom Dallessio, the Executive Director of the Musconetcong Watershed Association will be the speaker! From Lake Hopatcong and Lubber's Run, at its Northeast beginnings, to its junction with the Delaware River in its Southwestern terminus, it has been an important part of life from the original settlers, the Lenni Lenape, to the present day. Tom Dallessio will show us why the watershed continues to be of major importance, from its usage in industry, to its role in recreation and sport.
A variety of free refreshments will be served, and you'll have the opportunity to purchase unique T-shirts, panoramic maps, and various other Hackettstown memorabilia. Officers and Board will be there to answer any questions you may have about Hackettstown area history, as well as any other questions you may have about the Society or Museum!
Location is 494 Willow Grove Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
