The Run for the River is an annual fundraiser for the Musconetcong Watershed Association (MWA). MWA is a non-profit organization formed by residents of the Musconetcong Valley in 1992. Our mission is to protect and improve the Musconetcong River and its watershed resources through education and outreach programs to local schools, landowners, and municipal officials. In addition, MWA conducts river cleanups and stream bank restoration projects.
Funds generated by the MWA Run for the River will be used to support the MWA education program, River Watcher program, hiking and paddling trips, River Talks, and more.
Those who register before April 11, 2022 will have the option to choose a commemorative long-sleeved t-shirt and will receive a free swag bag. You can also register on the race day from 8:30 am to 9:15 am. Walkers start at 9:45 am, and Runners start at 10:00 am, rain or shine.

Virtual Run for the River Instructions
ALL registrants must select “4-mile Run” to begin the registration process regardless of if you are running, walking, biking, paddling, fishing, etc.
Be sure to check the box if you'd like a commemorative long-sleeved t-shirt.
Runners/Walkers - prior to May 1 will receive email instructions on how to submit your finisher time. (Although this is not an official race, it would be great to capture everyone’s participation. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to record the other activities through this tool, but please share on social media!)
For all other activities, the goal is to accumulate 4 hours of whatever you choose to do for the Musky.
After you register, and before May 1-15, you will receive an email letting you know how you can submit your time.
Please reach out by email or give us a call at (908) 537-7060 if you have any questions.
