About the event

Turn stormwater into a solution by learning how to design and install your own rain garden. This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of how rain gardens work, why they are an effective tool for reducing runoff and improving water quality, and how they can enhance your property with native plants and pollinator habitat.

Participants will learn how to select an appropriate location, size and design a garden, and choose plants suited to site conditions. Whether you are a homeowner, gardener, or simply interested in protecting local waterways, this session will provide practical, step-by-step guidance to help you get started. You’ll leave with the knowledge and resources needed to confidently plan your own rain garden and make a positive impact in your community.
