About the event

The Historic Waterloo Village is an authentic 19th century village that developed on the banks of the Morris Canal and parallels the Musconetcong River.  The Morris Canal is world renowned for its use of the inclined plane system to lift and lower heavy cargo-carrying boats out of the water and up and down the hills of the Highlands Region of New Jersey. Dammed sections of the river serve(d) reservoirs, navigation, sports, and industry throughout the region. Join us as Tim Roth, Vice President of the Canal Society of NJ leads a talk on the Morris Canal and its impact on the Musconetcong Valley.
