About the event

Thank you for helping the NJ Watershed Ambassadors Program and the NJ State Park Service protect the Musconetcong River and Stephens State Park!  Please use this form to register for the Invasive Species Removal Event.

Our goal is to remove invasive plants that have become established on a vegetated island within the Musconetcong River. Our target species include Multiflora Rose, Invasive Bittersweet vine, Winged Burning Bush, Wineberry, Invasive Barberry, and more.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and tools if they have them, but there will be gloves and loppers/trimmers available at the site.

Please remember to bring your own reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.

Dress for the weather (warm layers, hat, scarves, etc.) in clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. Sturdy boots/shoes or waterproof footwear are highly recommended as the ground may be muddy or uneven.

Location: Stephens State Park,  800 Willow Grove St.…
