About the event
Join the MWA for a virtual River Talk, which will take place on Tuesday, February 28th, 7:00 - 8:30p.m.  This presentation is an introduction to the concept of sustainable communities.  We will discuss some of our biggest concerns, such as global warming and poverty, as well as habitat and biodiversity loss.  We will also learn about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and explore avenues to transform our local communities into sustainable societies where future generations may be healthy and prosper. Speaker: Susan Golden Susan Golden is a retired high school STEM teacher who speaks globally on climate change and other environmental issues such as sustainability, pollution, and water scarcity.  She serves on the boards of the Hackensack Riverkeeper and the Tenafly Nature Center.  She is an En-ROADS Ambassador,  a member of the Climate Reality Project Leadership Corps, and has completed the Rutgers’ Environmental Stewardship Program.
